René Reinert made his European Truck Racing debut in 2012 without much previous racing experience, but that didn’t seem to bother him too much as he was able to take his maiden win that year. A fierce competitor, who on his day can challenge anyone in the field.
In the 2015 season the German placed consistently in the top six for the vast majority of the season, taking 6th place in the European Truck Racing Championship.
2016 was Reinert’s best season to date - he finished third in the standings and decided to take a sabbatical from racing in 2017.
Reinert returned to the cockpit in 2018 and ended up seventh in the standings with four race wins to his name.
In 2019 the German completed the first make switch of his truck racing career, swapping his proven MAN for Team Hahn Racing-built IVECO.
He only needed two starts behind the wheel of his all-new IVECO truck to score his first victory for the Italian truck manufacturer at the season opener in Misano. Reinert went on to win two more races and finished the 2019 season in seventh. He took a podium at the last race of the 2021 season with a second place at Misano.
2022 marked a turning point. Struggling with shoulder problems and growing demands on his business duties brought on by the energy crisis and the war in Ukraine, Reinert decided to take a step back from racing.
2025 sees the German return to the grid in a truck with serious pedigree: the MAN that carried Norbert Kiss to four European Championship titles.
