No stopping Norbi as Goodyear ETRC champion takes Misano pole
Reigning champion Norbert Kiss has banked the first pole position of the 2026 Goodyear FIA European Truck Racing Championship season after he edged out his rivals at Misano World Circuit.
Competing in a Révész Racing MAN at the sunbaked Italian venue, the Hungarian secured top spot for Race 1 in 2m02.105s.
The seven-time title winner was 0.749s quicker than leading Chrome driver Lukas Hahn, who impressed in second place with IVECO power.
Antonio Albacete, who has three FIA ETRC crowns to his name, was third quickest in his newly built Team T Sport Bernau-entered MAN.
“It’s feeling very good and I’m very happy about the position but the session itself was a bit strange,” Kiss said. “In the last section it became really slippery and the lap times were really slow. My pole time was like a second a lap slower than the time I could do in free practice. And every turn was almost sliding everywhere so you had to back off a little bit. If you tried to push for sure then there was no grip. I try to keep it this way.”

Lukas Hahn’s father Jochen was fourth quickest with Bradley Smith and René Reinert next up. Hahn Sr, whose career CV lists six FIA ETRC titles, secured pole position for Race 1 at Misano 12 months ago in a time of 2m02.025s. Click HERE for the full story.
