Hahn quickest as Goodyear FIA ETRC stars return to action

Jochen Hahn has gone fastest in Free Practice 1 at Autodrom Most to mark the resumption of the 2026 Goodyear FIA European Truck Racing Championship season following the summer break.

The IVECO-powered six-time champion clocked a best time of 2m00.905s around the 4.212-kilometre Czech venue, a performance that was just outside the pole position lap of 2m00.827s set by Norbert Kiss 12 months ago.

Kiss, the provisional Goodyear FIA ETRC points leader after three rounds, was second fastest, 0.497s down in Hahn in a time of 2m01.412s, as Sascha Lenz completed the top three in 2m01.793s.

Lukas Hahn, Jochen’s son, was the leading Chrome category contender in fourth overall, as Antonio Albacete and Steffi Halm rounded out the top six.

John Newell, Czech hero Adam Lacko, René Reinert and 2025 Chrome champion Mark Taylor filled the remaining top 10 positions ahead of Bradley Smith, Steffen Faas, Lucas Recuenco and Luke Garrett.

Christian Ruppert, who is making his first start of the Goodyear FIA ETRC season, was 15th quickest with Emma Mäkinen 16th after the Finn was delayed when she went into the gravel at Turn 20, an incident that caused the session to be red-flagged after 14 minutes before it resumed.

José Eduardo Rodrigues was unable to register a meaningful lap time due to a reported technical issue, while Clemens Hecker and Stefan Kursch both withdraw in the build-up to the event.

Free Practice 1 took place in warm but overcast conditions. Free Practice 2 is up next from 14:10 local time with Qualifying 1-2-3 due to get under way at 16:15.
