Stay tuned, Lukas Hahn says of full Goodyear FIA ETRC season chances

Lukas Hahn completed his four-event Goodyear FIA European Truck Racing Championship campaign by dropping the strongest hint yet that he’ll go full time in 2027.

Hahn competed as a race-by-race entrant in 2026 and made appearances at Misano World Circuit, Nürburgring, Autodrom Most and Circuito de Madrid Jarama – RACE.

Despite his limited programme, the IVECO-powered German racer finished 10th in the final overall standings, fifth in Chrome and third in the Young Driver division. He also took an outright win at Autodrom Most and was twice voted as the recipient of the Goodyear Wingfoot Award.

“Hopefully we can do a full season next year and fight for the title,” Hahn said during the Spanish season showdown. “I hope we will do a full season, stay tuned.”

During the opening event of the year at Misano World Circuit, Hahn spoke more about this part-time role in the Goodyear FIA ETRC.

The German driver said: “I’m a race-by-race pilot so I don’t do all the races but we are working to make next year a full season. For sure I would like to do the full season but, in the end, it’s budget and time and you need everything behind you. It only works if you get a lot of things together then it’s possible to do.

“You cannot aim for the titles [as a race-by-race driver] and for sure that’s why I want a full season, to be part of the competition. If you just do two or three races you can get victories, which is also good but you cannot aim for the title and that’s why I want to drive the full season, it would be the best way.”

Hahn is a third-generation Goodyear FIA ETRC driver – his grandfather Connie raced, while his father Jochen finished runner-up in the 2026 title chase to champion Norbert Kiss, thanks in part to Lukas Hahn beating Jochen Hahn’s points rival Sascha Lenz in the final race of the season.
