Smith vows to be back for Goodyear FIA ETRC season run-in

Bradley Smith will return to the Goodyear FIA European Truck Racing Championship for the season-deciding events at Le Mans and Jarama.

Smith, a Chrome category frontrunner, has announced he will skip this weekend’s Belgian Truck Grand Prix event at Circuit Zolder, which is hosting round five of the Goodyear FIA ETRC season.

A Facebook post from Smith Truck Racing read: “Unfortunately we will not be racing at Circuit Zolder this weekend. With work commitments and Tony [Smith] having a pre-operation check this Thursday the logistics wouldn’t be possible and health comes first. We will be back for the final rounds at Le Mans and Jarama.”

Smith is fourth in the Chrome standings and second in the Young Driver ranking following last month’s Autodrom Most event.
