Proud Taylor reflects on just missing out on Goodyear FIA ETRC Chrome glory

Mark Taylor said he “gave it everything” to win the Goodyear FIA European Truck Racing Championship two years running after just coming up short in the 2026 title chase.

After finishing runner-up to John Newell during an epic season finale at Circuito de Madrid Jarama – RACE last weekend, Taylor praised his team for keeping him in the fight for glory until the penultimate race of the year.

“We have had a tough season, but we gave it everything,” Taylor said. “The team have worked tirelessly. We are so proud of all the hard work and dedication that each member of our crew have put in throughout this year. Congratulations to John Newell and his team, we’ve had some fierce battles. It was a phenomenal season, we hope we did our friends family and followers proud.”
