Recuenco the Chrome pacesetter in Goodyear FIA ETRC Warm-up
Luis Recuenco emerged from Sunday morning Warm-up as the driver to beat in the Goodyear FIA European Truck Racing Championship’s Chrome division.
With a time of 2m07.117s, Mercedes-Benz-powered Recuenco headed Bradley Smith and new points leader John Newell in the category for drivers with less experience and fewer top overall results.
Norbert Kiss, who put the 2026 Goodyear FIA ETRC title* beyond doubt with victory in Race 1 on Saturday, was fastest outright in a time of 2m05.247s.
Antonio Albacete and Sascha Lenz were second and third quickest respectively followed by Jochen Hahn, Recuenco and José Eduardo Rodrigues, who won yesterday’s second race.
Bradley Smith, John Newell, Steffi Halm and René Reinert rounded out the top 10 ahead of Mark Taylor, Steffen Faas, Luke Garrett and Clemens Hecker, a non-starter in Race 2.
Qualifying 4-5-6 is next from 09:50 local time followed by Race 3 at 12:55 and Race 4 from 16:55.
