Kiss fastest first in Jarama Goodyear FIA ETRC finale

Norbert Kiss began the final day of the 2026 Goodyear FIA European Truck Racing Championship season with the fastest time in Warm-up at Circuito de Madrid Jarama – RACE.

The winner of Race 1 on Saturday and the recently crowned eight-time European champion* recorded a best time of 1m56.765s around the 3.850-kilometre track in overcast conditions.

Sascha Lenz was second quickest with home hero Antonio Albacete third fastest followed by José Eduardo Rodrigues, Steffi Halm, René Reinert, Jochen Hahn and Bradley Smith, who scored his breakthrough outright Goodyear FIA ETRC victory in Race 2 yesterday.

Chrome title chasers Mark Taylor and John Newell rounded out the top 10 in ninth and 10th respectively ahead of Spain’s Luis Recuenco and Steffen Faas, whose tankpool24-Racing squad worked into the night to restore his Freightliner to full working order after a failure prior to Race 1.

Luke Garrett, Jonathan André, Clemens Hecker and Mika Mäkinen were next up, but Lukas Hahn’s running in Warm-up was restricted after he went off at the final corner and ran through the gravel trap before heading immediately to the paddock.

The 39th Grand Prix de España FIA Europeo de Camiones weekend continues with Qualifying 4-5-6 from 11:00 then Race 3 at 13:45 and Race 4 following at 15:55.

Qualifying 4-5-6 and both races will be streamed live on YouTube and shown by broadcasters across Europe and around the world.
