Rodrigues in Goodyear FIA ETRC young driver call

José Eduardo Rodrigues celebrated defending his Goodyear FIA European Truck Racing Championship Young Driver title by calling on more under 30s to test themselves in the all-action series.

Rodrigues secured the Young Driver award for 2026* in Race 3 at Le Mans last weekend driving a MAN for the Reboconort Racing Truck Team.

He said: “I feel very good. It’s a big year with a lot of ups and downs but we had a very good pace, we were pushing to the maximum and it’s very good. We need more young drivers, more people to compete with us. It’s a fantastic championship with very good people, so if it’s possible, come.

“We need more young drivers to push me and Bradley, pushing us to the maximum. Lukas is also part of the championship and always pushing when he comes. Maybe in the future we have more young drivers which is very good for me, for the championship and for everyone.”

Rodrigues beat Bradley Smith, Lukas Hahn and Emma Mäkinen to the 2026 Goodyear FIA ETRC Young Driver title*.
