Ups and downs and unforgettable moments for Reinert Racing Team in Goodyear FIA ETRC

Reinert Racing Team has described its 2026 Goodyear FIA European Truck Racing Championship campaign as “a season full of ups and downs, exciting duels, technical challenges and unforgettable moments”.

In an extensive social media post, the German outfit looked back on its seven-event campaign, which concluded with René Reinert finishing seventh in the final Goodyear FIA ETRC standings and victory in the Goodyear FIA European Truck Racing Championship for Teams in partnership with Révész Racing.

The post read: “Already at the season opener in Misano, it became clear that a demanding year lay ahead. Despite some setbacks, we managed to finish the weekend with a podium finish.

“At the Slovakia Ring, one of the most exciting duels of the season took place. René fought until the finish line for the victory. The gap was so small that even the finish photo could decide the rankings. In the end, René missed out on the first place by just a whisker – P2 after an incredible photo finish.

“A very special moment awaited us at the Nürburgring. After intense races and some setbacks, René finally achieved his first victory [of the season]. An emotional highlight of the season, which we will not forget for a long time.

“In Most, it continued with tight duels and another podium finish. However, we were not spared any misfortune.

“Zolder once again put us through difficult weather conditions and technical problems. Despite everything, René fought for the best possible position in every race.

“Also in Le Mans, there was a lot to see. Several collisions, damaged vehicle parts, and problems with the braking cooling made the weekend anything but easy. Nevertheless, René brought the truck to the finish line in all four races in sixth place.

“At the season finale in Jarama, it became clear once again how much this year had demanded of us. Again, coupling and drive problems, a damaged undercarriage, and an impressive repair performance by our mechanics characterised the last weekend of the season.

“What pulled us through the entire season was the countless hours of work behind the scenes. Again and again, we had to tighten, repair, and improvise, often until late into the night. Our mechanics gave everything to get René back on the track in time. Despite all the difficulties, René never gave up and fought until the last round. Not every result reflected what could have been under different circumstances. All the more so because we were able to achieve the successes we did together.

“And in the end, we were also able to celebrate a very special title: Together with the Révész Racing Team, we were able to win the Goodyear FIA European Truck Racing Championship for Teams.

“A big thank you to our entire team, our sponsors, partners, families, and of course to all the fans who have accompanied and supported us throughout this season.”
