As we reach the midway point of the Goodyear FIA ETRC season, we take a closer look at our new partner, JOST.

JOST has been a prominent feature in the paddock and fan village since the start of the season and their “Truck Stop” workshops have become a favourite among visitors. These sessions are more than just demonstrations; they are interactive experiences where visitors, drivers and industry representatives can get hands-on with JOST’s products and learn how to repair and mount them.

"Our goal here is to connect with the truck driver community, the real end users who use our products daily,” said Christin Zindritsch, Marketing Communications Manager at JOST. “We want our solutions to stand out for safety, reliability and easy handling, making the tough job of a truck driver just a bit easier.”

Showcasing Cutting-Edge Technology

Among the highlights of JOST’s offerings is their automatic coupling system, the JOST KKS. This innovative system replaces the traditional, often cumbersome, coupling process with a remote-controlled, streamlined operation. The King Pin Finder, a camera integrated into the fifth wheel coupling, adds another layer of safety and precision, akin to the reverse cameras found in modern cars. This technology ensures that coupling and uncoupling semi-trailers is a straightforward and secure process.

"The King Pin Finder and our automatic coupling system make the coupling process really easy,” explains Zindritsch. “With features like remote control operation and integrated cameras, the driver doesn’t even have to get out of the truck, enhancing both safety and efficiency."

It was another clinical delivery from Norbert Kiss, who took the lead of the second race at Circuit Zolder after three laps, pulling enough of a gap to retain the lead after a five second penalty.

It was another imposing lights-to-flag victory for the Hungarian champion Norbert Kiss as lap one disasters struck Sascha Lenz, Clemens Hecker and Luke Garrett, causing them all to not finish the first race.
