Emma Mäkinen confirms more Goodyear FIA ETRC action
Emma Mäkinen’s return to the Goodyear FIA European Truck Racing Championship won’t be a one-off, the Finnish racer has confirmed.
Mäkinen was back on Goodyear FIA ETRC duty at the Nürburgring last weekend for her first appearance in the series since her debut at the German venue in 2022.
She finished all four races inside the top 15 with her run to 14th in Race 4 marking a weekend personal best. Mäkinen also joined José Eduardo Rodrigues and Bradley Smith on the Young Driver category podium at the competition of the Nürburgring event, after being classified third.

The IVECO-powered Mäkinen has now confirmed plans to contest the Most weekend in Czech Republic, round four of the Goodyear FIA ETRC season, from 28-30 August.
“My debut [in 2022] was very hot like this weekend and everything was new,” Mäkinen said. “But this time I knew what was coming and it was easier. I didn’t make any predictions, I just wanted to finish all the races and do some overtakes. It happened like this so I’m feeling very good. It was a very nice weekend, and I’ve learned a lot.”

While Mäkinen has yet to race at Autodrom Most, she took part in the group test at the track back in April with guidance from established Goodyear FIA ETRC racers Jochen and Lukas Hahn.
“I’m waiting for Most now,” said the Mad-Croc Mäkinen Racing driver, who has hinted at further Goodyear FIA ETRC appearances following the Most event. “It was very useful doing the test in April. I drove like 50 laps and got help from Jochen and Lukas. They were giving me help on set-up and the driving lines. I was also sitting in their trucks.”
