KISS TAKES POLE IN WET ZOLDER QUALIFYING
For the tenth time this season, Norbert Kiss claimed the top spot for the opening race at Zolder
After a not too promising qualifying session for Norbert Kiss, the Hungarian stepped up his game and posted purple times in all three sectors taking the top step in Super Pole.
Sascha Lenz was only 0.289 seconds behind Kiss and will start alongside his championship rival in second.
Adam Lacko showed his driving skills in the wet, posting the fastest lap time in the qualifying runs, however he struggled to improve on his time in Super Pole. Sitting in third for most of the session, Antonio Albacete put in a quick time towards the end and edged ahead of Lacko to line up third on the grid.
Téo Calvet set a great lap time in Super Pole and claimed pole position in the Promoters Cup, starting fifth on the grid, alongside Jochen Hahn in sixth. The German had a big moment that saw his truck go off track and into the gravel.
Jamie Anderson qualified seventh ahead of André Kursim, with Chrome drivers Steffen Faas and Shane Brereton completing the top ten.
It was a disappointing session for Steffi Halm, who for the first time this season, didn’t make it into Super Pole. She will start alongside José Eduardo Rodrigues, who stands in for his father José Rodrigues this weekend and who qualified in 11th.
Jonathan Andre will start from 13th with Clemens Hecker lining up next to him in 14th.
