NORBERT KISS
ETRC Champion 2023, 2022, 2021, 2015, 2014
Norbert Kiss is not only one of Hungary's greatest ever racing drivers, he has also carved out a reputation as the fastest driver of his generation with four championship titles to his name so far.
Kiss started his career sim-racing in his homeland. By 2006 he was doing it for real on the track, successfully racing in the Renault Clio Cup, Seat Leon Cup and the popular Suzuki Swift category. Kiss also branched out in to single-seaters and turned many heads in the Formula Renault 2-litre category as well.
His attentions turned to truck racing in 2011 where he started to learn quickly, taking a win in his first season.
By 2014 he was a major threat to the established stars and duly won the title with nine victories. He defended his title brilliantly in 2015 with a record-breaking campaign in which he scored a remarkable 19 race wins!
In 2020 Kiss teamed up with the brand-new Révész Racing team, however due to a shortened season, no titles were awarded that year.
Kiss utterly dominated the 2021 season with an incredible pace, securing 10 out of 12 possible pole positions and 11 wins. Continuing his impressive performance into 2022, Kiss was yet again in a league of his own, claiming his fourth Goodyear FIA ETRC title with 16 race wins.
His 2023 title defence started with a heartbreak, as Kiss suffered a mechanical failure at the season opening race in Misano. Putting the set-back aside, the Hungarian bounced back and delivered unwavering consistency and exceptional racing skills as the season went on. With five races to spare, he secured his fifth Goodyear FIA ETRC title at Le Mans, solidifying his status as one of the sport's greatest champions.
