KISS AND RODRIGUES TAKE RACE THREE VICTORIES
Both starting in their respective class pole positions, Norbert Kiss and José Eduardo Rodrigues have taken overall and Promoter’s Cup victory in the penultimate race of the weekend.
Off the line, it was a drag race between Kiss and second-placed Sascha Lenz running to the first corner, and Lenz had looked like he had done enough to make the pass. But as the trucks rounded the circuit it was Kiss ahead to hold onto the lead until the chequered flag. The top three finished as they started, with Lenz driving to a comfortable second and Jochen Hahn completing the podium.
Steffi Halm and André Kursim kept the on-track battles going as they switched back and forth for P4. In the end, it was Halm that came out on top, taking fourth after 12 laps.
Antonio Albacete completed the Titan order after a quiet race to cross the line sixth.
Rodrigues had a copy-paste race from Race One; taking Promoter’s Cup pole and victory ahead of Steffen Faas.
Finishing seventh and eighth overall, the duo will fill the front row for Race 4, not only battling for Promoter’s Cup lead but also overall.
John Newell took another class podium continuing his strong opening weekend to the Goodyear FIA ETRC.
Clemens Hecker, Mark Taylor and Jonathan André completed the finishing order. Luis Recuenco retired in lap two from damage on his truck.
