Halm keeping calm ahead of 2026 Goodyear FIA ETRC opener

Goodyear FIA European Truck Racing Championship driver Steffi Halm is under no illusions that repeating her 2025 finishing position is a foregone conclusion.

Halm placed a career-best third in last year’s final standings and starts the 2026 season as one of the expected frontrunners.

But IVECO-powered Halm is keeping her feet on the ground ahead of the Misano opener this weekend due to the “hard” competition she’s expecting to encounter across the seven-event season.

“The target for sure is more or less the same like the last years, to be in the top three at the end of the season,” the German racer said. “Last year it worked, so for sure we have to do the same, maybe better. But the competition is always hard, you can be fast but you also need a little bit of luck.”

Halm is well prepared for her Goodyear FIA ETRC bid, as she explained: “We rebuilt the truck completely during the winter, made some modifications and now I’m really happy to be back on the racetrack. We made some changes in the rear, but the most important thing is that we completely rebuilt every part.”
